### Matthew #8: Prayer and Fasting
This lesson continues to explain the rights and wrongs of spiritual disciplines by turning in the Sermon on the Mount to prayer and fasting. Jesus gives a model prayer that includes seven petitions: three concerning God - getting your priority straight with what concerns God, and then four for our personal needs - give, forgive, lead, and deliver us. All spiritual disciplines, Charity, Prayer, and Fasting, must be God-oriented.
