Winning Record

Dag 5 av 5

If you’re still stumbling and trying to find your footing in the race, there is both good news as well as unfortunate news: The unfortunate news is that the race doesn’t get easier. Life will always throw obstacles and detours along your path. We don’t know what tomorrow brings, so we are forced to focus on today. This requires us to run our race with agility. We have to be able to turn, pivot, backtrack, speed up, slow down, stop, and start again at the drop of a hat. It can be tiring, and many will be tempted to sit down. To stop. To quit. The good news, however, is that while we may not know what tomorrow will bring us, we know SOMEONE who does. God knows every fault, every crack, and every root that is in our path. He has mapped the path of our lives and knows exactly what we need to do to come out on the other side unscathed. He runs this race alongside us, gently nudging us in the right direction. Reminding us to be mindful of what lies ahead, even if we cannot yet see it. The race doesn’t get easier, but it doesn’t need to. Instead, we get stronger. We get faster. We begin to gain confidence in our own ability. And our faith grows with every step that we take towards the finish line. Life doesn’t get easier. We just become better equipped to handle it. And through the wisdom of God, our winning record remains unblemished.
