Married Couples: 16-Day Prayer Challenge

Dag 10 av 16

# "Love Does Not Delight in Evil" ### By Emilio Blanco “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV, emphasis added) “Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.” —1 John 2:10 (ESV) “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” —Romans 12:9 (ESV) “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” —Hebrews 10:24 (ESV) Heavenly Father, we come before You, asking You to please hear our prayer. We know marriage can be challenging and full of trials and tribulations. We also know that we can offend each other and not think and act as You would like us. Allow us to fight for the love You give to us in our marriage, for our hearts and minds to bring about godly actions that will help us build each other up and not tear us down. Give us the strength through the Holy Spirit to hate what is evil and love and pursue what is good. Help us avoid evil thoughts, speech, and actions that only wound and hurt each other and our marriage and, above all, offend You. Allow us to focus on what is good and pleasing to You so we may glorify You in and through our marriage. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Your Son. Amen.
