Real Hope: Sovereign GodPrøve

## CHANGED PLANS Over the last few months, COVID-19 caused great disruption around the world. In the space of two days, flights were blocked between the USA and Europe, the NBA season was suspended, Disneyland was closed, and the Australian Grand Prix was called off. I too had an overseas trip cancelled. So many events that had been planned for months were called off in an instant. And at the time of writing, there’s expected to be many more. It’s a weird feeling when plans are changed. Something that you’ve worked towards for a long time is gone, and you are left sitting before an unplanned clear schedule. But this is not new – plans are often disrupted, whether it be by weather, illness, or other circumstances. Sometimes, you feel helpless – and perhaps even small. This is where we can rest in the fact that God is always in control. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but He does. Scripture reminds us that He cares for the birds and the flowers. Does this mean we shouldn’t make plans at all? No – it’s good to do so. We just need to commit our plans to Him and acknowledge that He is Lord of all, and that He walks alongside us through every uncertainty. ##### written by SAM ROBINSON
