Daily Reflection: Jesus makes a clear point that those who trust in riches will find it challenging to enter into the kingdom of God. This is not because riches in and of themselves are bad or evil, but it is an issue of trust. The kingdom of this world is built on independence, while the kingdom of God is built on surrender. As we learn from the life of Jesus, he was consistently surrendered to the will of Father – even if it meant his death on a cross! We cannot enter into the kingdom by any strength or action of our own. It is only by surrender that we can enter into and experience the fullness of the kingdom. Daily Demonstration: We know that God hears our prayers, yet sometimes we can pray as though we believe he hasn’t heard. Faith is being able to thank God in advance for answered prayer, even though you may not know or see the answer now. As you reflect today, ask God to show you an area where you need to trust him and surrender. Exercise your faith and put your trust in the Father.
