Our God is a God of joy and has promised to share that joy with his children (see John 15:11). Our good, gracious God is worth getting to know—and our hope is that each new year will bring us closer to him. Let 2020 be a year in which you invite others to know God. And the best place to start getting to know him is in his Word. ### Engage Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions. · What does it say about God? · What does it say about us? · Is there a promise to trust? · Is there a command to obey? · How will I apply this Scripture to my life? · Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth? ### Memorize Now read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16–17.
