The Abundance Of God’s Love By Nina Smit

Dag 3 av 5

Do Your Work with Joy Ecclesiastes is a book of wisdom. Here we find practical and spiritual wisdom, which concerns all of us. “Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite,” reads Ecclesiastes 6:9. This is a lesson that few of us judge correctly, until we have lost something precious. We always desire more than we have, because we are human. In Ecclesiastes, the Teacher says that if your happiness depends on your possessions, you will never possess enough. The wealthier you are, the greater the danger that your possessions will become more important to you than God. Are you satisfied with what you have? Do you enjoy the things God has given you and do you enjoy your job? Have you ever considered the fact that everything you have comes from God? He has given you talents, health and possessions. The gift to be able to work with joy also comes from Him. Colossians 3:23 (NLT) tells us: “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” You may enjoy the things that belong to you and be happy, but always remember who provides these things, and see to it that He remains the most important person in your life. Remember to do your work with joy every day, to give only your best as unto the Lord. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for everything I receive from Your hand every day. Grant that I will be satisfied with what I have, and help me to remember that everything I have comes from You. Amen.
