Kairos - God’s Appointed Time to Act

Dag 1 av 21

Is your prayer time a ritual? As a Christian, prayer becomes a vital part of our lives. Sadly, even after years of walking with the Lord, for many believers - prayer has become as activity or a ‘thing to do’ in our day to day life. We are quick to present God with our ‘wish list’ or ask Him to solve our problems – And that’s about it! However, I feel prayer is much beyond that. One night, I was led to pray, but more so because I felt it was a requirement that needed to be met as a Christian. I began my prayer asking God to address my problems and concerns. Suddenly I was reminded of God’s love. The Bible says in Romans 8:32, He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? God wants us to focus on His love and not on the worries of the world or our fleshy desires and motives. Once we start focusing on His love and all that He has done for us, everything fades away in comparison. Experiencing God’s love changed my way of thinking and renewed my mind. Now my prayer time is no longer a ritual, rather a constant conversation with my Father. I love thanking and praising God for all that He has already given to me through Jesus. I pray not because I have to, but because I love to.
