Gud overlot menneskene til å ta sine egne valg og ta konsekvensene av dem. Menneskene kunne dermed velte seg i sine urene lyster. Det fikk følger for hvordan de forholdt seg til kroppen – de syndet mot sin egen kropp. De byttet ut Guds sannhet med løgn. I stedet for å tilbe Skaperen, Han som er full av velsignelser til evig tid, tilba og tjente de heller det Han hadde skapt.
