Save the DateVoorbeeld

Have you ever messed up? Not some small or tiny mistake, but a big, major one? One that made you afraid of the consequences you might face if someone found out? Maybe you were so afraid of what might happen that you ran away from the issue you were facing completely!
Sometimes we not only try to outrun the consequences to our bad decisions, but also God Himself. King David wrote this verse after he made a pretty big mistake. But instead of running from God, he ran to God. He knew the only way to get a clean conscience and to move forward from his mistake was to face it head on. Instead of running because of shame and guilt, he ran to the One who saw his failures and embraced him anyway. God does the same for us! No matter what mistakes you’ve made, make the decision to move toward God.
Pray that God would help you take just one step toward Him rather than running from Him this week.
