DAY 4 | DEPEND ON GOD IN THE BATTLE

When the enemy came against King Asa with an army twice his size, he didn’t panic. I don’t know about you, but I think I’d panic a little. But King Asa stood firm and didn’t call in backup from another nation. In a time of national crisis, He cried out to God. And God answered. Asa learned that the battle belongs to the Lord. That’s not just a catchy phrase. It’s a lifeline. You and I are going to face things that are way too big for us. But nothing’s too big for our God.

You can be the most organized, disciplined, and skilled person around, but if your confidence is in yourself, you will experience great pain and failure. The Proverbs teach us that pride always precedes a fall (Proverbs 16:18). When life gets heavy and the pressures push hard against your life, the best decision that you can make is to cry out to the Lord. He gives us the victory and strength through the power of His Spirit. The sooner we learn to rely on Him, the steadier we’ll be. The quicker the prayer, the quicker the help!

The Lord is never intimidated by your battles. He’s never outnumbered. He’s not wondering what to do next. The key is in how you respond. Will you panic? Will you turn to someone else? Or will you go straight to the Lord? There’s strength available to those who know where to turn. God is faithful, and He’s enough.

GUIDED PRAYER:

Lord, You know the battles I’m facing right now. Some of them feel bigger than I can handle. But I don’t want to run to people or quick fixes; Instead, I want to run to You. You’re my help, my strength, and my covering. Help me fully trust that You will fight for me.
