The God of Details

Here we see God who gives a detailed plan of what was expected.  Our God is a God of details. He knows what He wants. He also communicated to Moses what exactly was required. We see throughout exodus God gives detailed plans. He expects us to obey them the way He wants it. 

In the chapters we read today, God gives instructions about the tabernacle and items related to it. It was the place He chose to meet the people of Israel. He wanted it His way so that The Holy God could come and meet His people. He was hindered from meeting them because of sin. So the tabernacle and items related were to be holy and set apart.  God wanted to meet us and He found a way to do it. On our part it always involves obedience and following instructions intentionally and consistently.

How many times we try to add our twist to the plans of God. This is the same God who created the universe and us. When He tells us to do something we should be sure to do it His way. The important thing here is listening. Unless we listen we can't obey. How do we listen to God’s instructions? When we are diligent in reading and meditating His word with the attitude of God what do you want me to do today? Not every day will we get a clear instruction but we will know what God expects us to do.
