Life is Short and Also Long!

When you are a teenager or in your twenties, you’re probably not in a time of life when you are “numbering your days” or wondering how much time you have on earth. Most of us have a long life ahead of us, including great adventures with the Lord! This Psalm does warn us ( all of us!!) to “number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” We don’t need to be wondering how long we will live, but we do need to live each day to the fullness of what God has set before us. We can choose each day to receive wisdom from God about everything that comes our way. Each day is an opportunity to bless people, to grow, and to experience God's goodness. The amazing thing is that God is timeless and eternal. So, although our years are short on earth, we have all of eternity to enjoy a full life with Jesus.

Think about the season of life you are in now. There’s so much possibility, adventure, hope, and excitement. God wants you to live life to the full (John 10 :10) and enjoy this season with Him! Don’t waste your time on things which are not from Him! Those things could set you on a wrong path for the next season of your life. Follow Him and enjoy every season!
