Who is the king or queen of your country? The country you live in may not have a king or queen, but no matter where you live, when you follow Jesus, you’re part of the Kingdom of God. You can choose to make Jesus the king of your life.

Jesus is a different kind of king. Instead of a crown of gold, Jesus wore a crown of thorns. Instead of expecting to be served Jesus served others. Instead of His reign coming to an end when He died, His reign will last forever.

A king or queen's power or authority might be measured in the size of their country, how powerful their military is, or how rich they are. Jesus wasn’t in charge of one country, He didn’t have an earthly army fighting in His name and He wasn’t wealthy by the world's standards. He doesn't need any of that, He is God with us. He has God’s power, armies of angels, and riches beyond compare. He is above all powers and kings, He’s the greatest King of all.
