The earth is always moving around the sun. Without the light and heat from the sun, life could not exist on the earth. Likewise, our lives should always be centered around God. Without Him, we don’t have life. So how do we center our lives around God? 

If you want to be friends with someone, you have to get to know them. Find out what they like and dislike. Hear stories of places they have been to (like Disney World!) and the cool things they have experienced (like the blob at summer camp!). To get to know God better, we can read about the cool things He has done in the Bible, like parting the Red Sea, and talk to Him in prayer. 

Today, remind yourself that the powerful God who parted the waters of the Red Sea wants to work in your life. After you read today’s verses, spend five minutes talking to God, telling Him what you love about Him and everything you are thankful for.
