God said to Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God promises He will never leave us or forsake us.
What does it mean that God will never forsake us? It means God will never abandon or give up on us. God never gives up on us, there’s nothing we can do that would cause God to abandon us or leave us.
God promised Joshua that He would be with him wherever he went. That’s exactly what happened. God was with Joshua and the Israelite people as they entered the Promised Land. God stopped the Jordan River from flowing so they could cross. God made the high walls of the city of Jericho fall. God made the sun stand still during battle and wiped out the enemy with hailstones. God kept His promise to Joshua!
God promises the same to you and me and God keeps His promises! I am not alone.
