Can you think of a time when you stayed in the sun way too long without any sunscreen? Because you remained in the sun too long, your skin was bright red and crispy. Where we stay or remain affects us. Too much sun on our skin can lead to a painful sunburn, which causes aloe vera to become your best friend and tight-fitting clothes your enemy. 

Jesus calls us to remain in His love. What does that mean? What does it look like to remain in His love? When you remain in the sun, you can feel its rays. When you remain in Jesus’ love, you are in the presence of Jesus. What helps you feel near to Jesus? Talking and listening to Him when you wake up, journaling your thoughts to Him, focusing on Him as you spend time outdoors, and reading His Word with your friends are all great ways to experience Jesus’ nearness. 

Spend some time in the presence of Jesus today.
