Our words have power. Sometimes we forget the impact of our words. We don’t always remember that when we say something, it holds weight. Here, when this man Jesus encounters says he’d follow him “wherever,” he didn’t realize that it meant wherever Jesus would call him to go. 

Through thick and thin, good times and bad, highs and lows—Jesus is calling all of us to go with Him. When we make the promise to follow Jesus “wherever,” it holds an important weight, but the journey is most definitely one worth taking!
