Loss Doesn't Get The Final WordSampel

If you’re reading this, you’re likely grieving a loss of some sort, and before we get too far into the study, we want to say that we are so sorry that you are in pain. Grieving loss is one of the hardest things people go through, and although everyone faces it at some point, it’s never easy.
Part of the reason it feels so terrible is that it’s not how it’s supposed to be. God does not like pain or loss. Both were absent from His original design for Creation, but sin creeped in and brought tragedy with it. Now, grief and loss and pain are all unavoidable aspects of life.
But we can still find hope.
Today, God is in the midst of restoring the world to its original design. He sent His son Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, and the Bible tells us that He is working out all things for those who love Him. Grief and loss do not have the final word; God does.
While we wait for the completed restoration, God shows us a glimpse of that restoration in the lives of His people. The Bible gives us story after story of God meeting His people in their times of trouble. Even in their questioning, their anger, and their confusion, God welcomes them.
In this plan, we will focus on a few biblical characters who experience a great deal of loss. Each of them responds differently, but God does the same thing in each story: He restores, loves, and cares for His people, and He wants to do that for you, too.
