Serving begins with worship. It is the outward expression of our love and devotion to God. In order for us to live a servant’s life, we must first understand what it means to be a true worshiper of God. 

Maybe you have only known worship in the form of music. Although music is a form of worship, it is not limited by it. Music is only a vehicle for us to enter into the presence of God.

The word worship actually means worth-ship, so when we worship God we are declaring His worth in our lives. God desires our attention, praise, and passions because He is worthy of them.

Worship is not about being a good singer or musician but simply telling God how awesome and worthy He is of all our attention. We express our greatest worship through the decisions we make each day.

When was the last time you just said, “Lord you are amazing!” In this devotion time, practice this new perspective of worship by telling God how awesome He is and how grateful you are to be in His presence.  Invite Him to give you the desires of His heart so that serving becomes an overflow of your love for Him.
