Do Not Deny Jesus

Jesus starts dealing with the tough issues of fear. 

If you are afraid to speak of me, I will refuse to acknowledge you before the Father. Jesus is serious about being honored by us in front of all mankind.

Second, Jesus will not accept when we put family ahead of Him. When we follow Jesus, there may be times that others (often family) reject us. Do not let that stop us. Jesus is more important than any other relationship. 

This is very challenging. Do not be afraid to speak it to people. Jesus said it very clearly – so must we.

Time for Pray

Father, it is hard to face these issues – fear, rejection by family. They are very big mountains that we must overcome. In our own strength, we will fail. We will stop because we are afraid. We will stop when our family rejects us. We will stop… Father, I do not want to stop following Jesus for any reason. I need Your strength, Your help, Your heart. Without it, I will be afraid and I will stop when family reject me, so strengthen my heart, in Jesus’ name I pray Amen.
