A heart of flesh

There are moments when our hearts feel cold, distant, or heavy with disappointment. Life has a way of hardening us – through pain, betrayal, or long seasons of silence. But God, in His mercy, offers us a divine heart transplant. He doesn’t ask us to fix ourselves or pretend we’re fine. Instead, He gently promises, ‘I will give you a new heart’.

This isn’t self-improvement; it’s supernatural renewal. God knows what has hardened you. He’s seen the walls go up, and the spark in your eyes fade. Yet He still speaks hope. When Ezekiel received this word, Israel was in exile – defeated and scattered. But God wasn’t finished. He was preparing a people for restoration, beginning on the inside. Your transformation starts not with doing more, but with receiving what only God can give – a soft heart that feels again, trusts again, and beats with divine rhythm.

Today, let this promise anchor your hope: God is still the restorer of hearts. No matter how far you’ve wandered, He’s near. Invite Him into the hidden places. He doesn’t shame; He heals. Let Him exchange your heart of stone for one of flesh, pulsing with faith, hope and love.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You never give up on me. Even when my heart feels cold, You draw near. I receive Your promise of renewal today. Give me a new heart and a steadfast spirit. Soften what has grown hard. Help me to hope again. Amen.
