Catechism: What Is the Mission?ഉദാഹരണം

“Begin with the end in mind.” This piece of wisdom is helpful to anyone who has a goal or dream. The idea is that before you start working, you should know what you are working toward. You should be able to visualize the ending, and that vision will fuel and motivate everything you do.

When it comes to living on mission, God has already given us the vision of what the end will look like, and that vision should get us excited! The book of Revelation tells us that one day, all of God’s people, from every culture, will join together to worship God forever.

This beautiful diversity reflects the character of God and his universal mission. The kingdom of God is not just for one culture, one ethnic group, or one nation. God wants to redeem all of us, and he invites us to join his mission of redemption. The ultimate aim is the unified, beautiful, diverse celebration we’ll enjoy for eternity!

When you’ve walked with God and experienced the forgiveness of your sins and the promise of eternal life, you want others to experience it too. You want them to know the freedom and joy that comes with knowing God, starting now and stretching into eternity.

• Why do you think it is important that in John’s vision in Revelation people maintain their cultural and ethnic diversity? What does that show you about God?
• What are some ways we can honor and build bridges with different cultures as we share the gospel with them?
• How do you feel when you look ahead to heaven? Are you filled with excitement? Do you long for your friends and family who don’t know Jesus to be there? Take some time to pray for those people. Ask God to help you share the gospel with them this week.
