Cooking Up Confidence (Week Three)

7 ദിവസത്തിൽ 2 ദിവസം

Day Two - I can Serve the Lord

Yesterday we looked at how God blessed Hannah, how Hannah kept her promise and thought about what it means to serve the Lord. Today we are looking at how Samuel served the Lord from a young age, what it means to serve the Lord and how we are never too young to serve the Lord by helping others.

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3.

Scripture tells us that Samuel was a boy when he started serving the Lord (1 Samuel 3:1), this means that Samuel started helping Eli with jobs around the tabernacle.

Helping Eli with jobs and looking after the tabernacle was how Samuel served the Lord (God).

Read (or ask your grownup to read) Colossians 3:23. This scripture tells us that whatever we work at, we should do it to the best we can, as if we were working for the Lord (God).

ASK:

How old are you? Do you know we are never too young to serve the Lord?

Did you know that we serve the Lord when we serve (help) others?

Whatever you work at, going to school, going to church, helping out at home, remember to do this with a happy heart and as if you are doing it for the Lord.

REMEMBER:

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

PRAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news

that you gave to help us find our way.

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere!

We trust what Your word says.

You can use my words to share Your message

You are with me everywhere.

In Jesus's name,

Amen.
