A song of ascents. Of David.
1 Lord, my heart is not proud;
my eyes are not haughty. # 131:1 Ps 101:5; Rm 12:16
I do not get involved with things
too great or too wondrous for me. # 131:1 Jb 42:3; Ps 139:6
2Instead, I have calmed and quieted my soul
like a weaned child with its mother;
my soul is like a weaned child. # 131:2 Mt 18:3; 1Co 14:20
3Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
both now and forever. # 131:3 Ps 130:7
