Living in the 21st century as a Christian is hard. So was it for the Jewish believers some 2000 years ago. That’s why James, the half-brother of Jesus, wrote a letter to encourage the believers then to press on in their trials. There's much to learn and take heart from his letter, because the very same lessons still apply today.
