How can we not share about Jesus!

Peter and John are on trial for preaching Jesus. When the religious leaders and authorities tell them they can’t preach Jesus anymore, they respond with, ‘As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard’ (NIV). Peter and John were so transformed by Jesus that no threat could stop them from preaching His good news.

When we encounter Jesus, our hearts are transformed because our hearts are uniting with God’s. That the creator of heaven and earth knows us by name and wants to be in communion with us is mind blowing. This is God, the One who placed the stars in the sky and knows them by name (Psalm 147:4). This is the One who raised Jesus from the grave (Acts 2:24). And He wants to have a personal relationship with you and I and to bless us with His love, peace, grace, mercy and joy.

The love of Jesus is too incredible and life-changing to keep to ourselves. When we experience something good in our lives, we are quick to share it with others. Why not the life-changing love of Jesus? When we’ve experienced His goodness and grace, how can we not share the good news? Like Peter and John, our response should be: we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard! Our purpose in life is to know Jesus and make Him known. To point people to the truest and purest form of love – the love of God.

Today, can I encourage you to think about who you can share Jesus with? Ask God to show you who you can talk to and go share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who don’t know Him.
