7 Habits of a Mature Discipleಮಾದರಿ

Habit 7: Mature Disciples Make More Disciples
God’s will for our life is to multiply!
He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. And Jesus said for us all to “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19 NKJV).
This life is not about us, it’s about us being fully devoted to Jesus and accomplishing his mission for us on earth. We get to be a small part of what God is doing. We get to see people saved and then get discipled. We get to mentor the next generation, we reproduce ourselves by mentoring younger believers. We get to make more disciples!
How do we do this? Actions are louder than words, so our actions should match our words. Demonstrate the love of Jesus in word and deed. Be an example of forgiveness and patience. And when we mess up, we can be the example by asking forgiveness. It’s not about being perfect but showing people how to die to themselves and truly live for Jesus.
We might be the only Christian friend they have, and mature disciples make more disciples.
Congratulations!
Thanks for joining us on this journey. These seven habits of a mature disciple will change your life forever. Worship, prayer, service, giving, servanthood, sharing our faith, and making disciples are the work God is doing within us. He will finish the work he started in us. So ask him for the help to grow from faith to faith. And don’t be afraid to fail. He’s holding us.
These are the habits of mature disciples . . . they don’t change. Are they a regular part of your life? God set the standard high so we could be the most fulfilled and the most fruitful people for his glory.
So how are you doing as a mature disciple? If you are like me, there is always a daily need to die to myself, be filled with the Spirit, and by his grace, live for him. He is the author and finisher of our faith. So let’s march forward, always growing in his grace.
Mature disciples see themselves as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, equipped, active, and ready to face each day as a gift from God.
