Everywhere Jesus went, the crowds would follow. It wasn’t uncommon for Jesus to be jostled in a crowd – people on every side. On the outside of the crowd is a woman who has existed at the very edges of society. Her condition makes her an outcast. Always unclean, not to be seen.

In her heart, she knows this man can help. She can’t approach him directly – that wouldn’t be allowed. But, what if…? What if she can get close enough, just touch his clothes, he won’t notice her in all those people. She knows how to get lost in a crowd. Boldly, she makes her way closer; there he is! It happens…one touch, and suddenly, all the doctors, all the years of pain meet their match in the presence of Jesus.
