The Miracle in the Mirror

DAY 2 OF 4

Powering Up The Light

I think of songs or movie quotes when I am striving for content to speak, because I am a creative. When I think of the power of Christ inside of each one of us who truly belong to Him...I think: "May The Force be with you." Who doesn't know that movie? Have you ever noticed secular movies sometimes (without even trying) line themselves up with Scripture? It's astounding. I automatically think of Jesus when I hear this movie quote. He is the Greatest Force of all time. No one will ever match Him.

I have experienced the mighty force of God in my life on multiple occasions. It is genuinely a tremendous power that no man can match or come against and come out on top. God's power is beyond what we can imagine or fathom (Eph. 1:19). We can do far above what we can even ask or think, with Christ at the center of all we do and say (Eph. 3:20). The key is unleashing the power of God within us to see His mighty arm extended.

Scriptures that give us the keys to His power are:

God's Word hidden in your heart, and using it to motivate yourself and others (Psalm 119:11). They say "prayer moves the hand of God..." There's another key factor in seeing His power unleashed. Scripture says, "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This means not taking a day off. Life is too short and too hard to give the devil some ground to play with by taking time off from prayer. It is a massive weapon in the arsenal of God, given to you for the battle. And when you pray, trust. Offer the right sacrifices to Him (Psalm 4:5). Trust that God hears, sees, cares, and thank Him.

Want to make Christ's Light brighter in you? Put on the whole armour of God (Eph. 6:10-17). Live out the Fruit of the Spirit daily (Gal. 5:22-23). Yes, it is challenging to fulfill all the expectations placed upon us as followers of Jesus. We were warned that this road is for the few and would be hard and really narrow terrain (Matt. 7:14).

"Eat the elephant one bite at a time," I've heard when taking on a daunting task. It applies to learning the Scriptures. Scripture provides a wide range of critical nutrients essential for our sustenance and eternal future.

Where can you take your first bites and make your first commitment to Jesus today to get on this narrow path? These tidbits will help you to brighten your Light so that others may SEE that He is IN YOU!

About this Plan

Life throws a lot of curveballs. It's easy to get so caught up in the thick of the to-do lists and the chaos surrounding us. That's when we fail to see the beauty of what God is doing in the midst of the messes. It's time to come up close and see the miracle staring back at you in the mirror of reflection...let's see just how good God really is!
