The Miracle in the Mirrorნიმუში

Light Dimmers
We've all been trampled from time to time by "Light dimmers." These people, situations, and circumstances arise because the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).
Some examples of Light dimmers can be:
- Negative Nellies and Negative Nelsons out there who want to tear people down to build themselves up somehow.
- The many temptations from one (or more forms) of: the world, the flesh, and the devil.
- Unexpected trauma or painful events that hurt us emotionally, spiritually, physically, mentally...and all of these avenues can hit at one time, depending on the trauma experienced.
- Unmet expectations that we personally allow to build up in our minds, which often end in grave disappointment.
- Willful and/or hidden sin in our lives.
- Lack of daily diligence in studying God's Word and prayer
This is not an exhaustive list, but rather a sample of some of the things that can dim someone's Light.
What exactly is the "Light?" Of course, I am referring to the power of Jesus within you...When you are a follower of Jesus Christ (John 8:12, Matt 5:14), you can see people walking in the power of Jesus to the point that you can almost see the Light exuding straight from their smile and eyes when they are in a right relationship with God. I have seen this for myself and have been personally told by strangers before that it was observed in me. There's no greater compliment, as far as I am concerned, to have "The Spirit on full display" out in public without even speaking a word! (Rom. 8:16, Matt 7:20)
When the Holy Spirit makes the connections like that between one spirit and another, it's a beautiful thing! (Matt 7:16)
Make a point today to search for The Light in others amidst today's darkness, and commend that believer, being an encourager today! The more you strive for this type of behavior, the more you will see the miracle that God has done when YOU look into the mirror!
