God With Us: Encountering the King This Christmasნიმუში

Day 3: The Savior King
For many believers, salvation is understood primarily as a future reality: eternal life after death. While this is gloriously true, Jesus's salvation is also for the here and now. He is the Savior King, who secures our eternity and transforms our daily lives.
Jesus himself declared in John 10:10, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (ESV) Salvation is not just about where we go when we die. It’s about experiencing freedom, joy, and purpose today.
Too often, we settle for less. We may know Jesus as our Savior in theory, yet live weighed down by anxiety, shame, or sin. We may continue striving in our own strength rather than walking in the newness of life he purchased for us. But the truth is this: In Christ, we are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). The old has passed away, and the new has come.
The Savior King has more for you than you may realize. He offers peace instead of fear (2 Thessalonians 3:16). He gives purpose instead of meaningless striving (Ephesians 2:10). He places good gifts in your hands instead of the emptiness of toil (James 1:17). He offers salvation from destructive habits and freedom from the lies of Satan.
But walking in this abundant life requires faith. We must believe that what God has promised is truly available. Satan cannot rob us of eternal salvation, but he works tirelessly to rob us of present joy. He whispers lies, tempts us toward sin, and distracts us with lesser pursuits. Yet through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to resist and live fully in the life Jesus offers.
Take a moment today to consider: where are you not experiencing the fullness of salvation? What areas of your life feel out of step with the peace and joy Jesus came to bring? Invite the Spirit to show you how to live in freedom.
Jesus is not only Savior of the past and future, he is Savior of your present. As you open your heart to him, he brings life, hope, and transformation into every corner of your existence.
Prayer:
Savior King, thank you for the abundant life you offer. Open my eyes to see where I am not walking in your salvation today. Teach me to live in freedom, peace, and joy through your Spirit. In your saving name, Amen.
