Honor

Ephesians 4:1 - "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received."

Honoring and respecting the opportunity that you’ve been given is your life. It is a blessing, and a great gift. Treat it like one.

Living a life worthy of the calling you have received brings honor to The Lord.

In this scripture for today, I am amazed that Paul, who was writing this while he was in a physical prison, didn't see himself as a prisoner of the world, but a prisoner for The Lord. He was at liberty spiritually, though bound physically.

Make the decisions that reflect that you truly appreciate the gift of life God has given you. By doing this we activate the powerful principle of doing unto others what we would want done to us.

The Golden Rule often gets over looked, but there’s such beauty in the simplicity of respecting others. Respect is shown through the act of honor. Honor your family, honor your community, honor the call on your life. Respect builds a connection. It isn’t shown on works but on how you work. It goes above and beyond respecting each individual because we are all a child of God, and from the same world and share the same struggles. Build honor through respecting God, yourself, others, and the place you live.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you that you are for me and you are with me. I ask that I would honor you in my life and that the meditation of my thoughts and actions would be pleasing in your sight. Help me to respect You, others, myself and the opportunities you give, that I may live a life worthy of the call.
