Day 6: Believing for the Unbelievable:
What happens when your reality doesn’t line up with God’s promise? When you know what He said, but everything around you tells you it’s too late, too far gone, too broken?
That’s the moment when faith becomes more than belief—it becomes defiance. Not defiance against God, but against every lie that tells you the impossible can’t be touched. The story of faith has always been about the unbelievable becoming reality—not because of our strength, but because of His.
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
—Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)
In YES!!!, Chris shares about Sharyn—a woman who, after 40 years of believing for her brother’s salvation, finally saw the breakthrough. Not a partial answer. Not a compromise. A full-circle moment of redemption. A phone call from the brother who had vanished decades before, calling her “sis” again. That kind of miracle doesn’t come from comfortable Christianity. It comes from gritty, relentless faith.
When Jesus spoke to Jairus after his daughter had died, He didn’t offer comfort—He gave a command: “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”
—Luke 8:50 (NKJV)
That’s what it takes. When death is in the room. When time has run out. When people have stopped praying. It takes belief that doesn't flinch, doesn’t bow to logic, and doesn’t give up after year ten, twenty, or forty.
In that same moment, while Jesus was on the way to Jairus’s house, a woman with a bleeding condition pushed through the crowd. She had been suffering for twelve years—physically, emotionally, and socially. She wasn’t even supposed to be there, let alone touch a rabbi. But she had something stronger than shame: belief.
She believed if she could just touch the edge of His garment, she would be healed.
And she was (Matthew 9:18-26).
Jesus didn’t scold her. He didn’t lecture her. He stopped everything, looked her in the eye, and called her “daughter.”
That’s what happens when we dare to believe for the unbelievable. God meets us not just with answers—but with restoration. With dignity. With presence.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."
—Psalm 147:3-5 (NKJV)
He’s big enough to run the universe—and personal enough to meet you in your most fragile moment.
So what are you believing for? What promise are you tempted to release because it’s taking too long or seems too far-fetched?
This isn’t the time to give up. It’s the time to press in.
Let Jesus speak into the silence. Let Him touch what doctors couldn’t fix. Let Him resurrect what others have already buried.
With God, all things are possible.
Don’t be afraid.
Only believe.
