WEEK 3: O LORD, I AM WEAK

THE WATER OF HIS WORD

Read Psalm 103.

What does the psalmist say about God's love and understanding of you? Be comforted if you do not know exactly how to follow after the Lord. Be reassured in your weakness and inability—in your weakness and inability you will cling to Jesus more! Jesus made himself nothing, knowing that He had been born in the likeness of men. He humbled himself. Humble yourself. Follow Christ's example and ask God for His mercy and help.

WALK ON TRUTH

Ask God to give you the grace even to ask for help. Then ask Him to show you how to follow Him. Often, when we think we know what we are doing, we have lost our way. Read through Psalm 103 again. What do you learn about God, His character, His shepherd's heart? Choose one thing about God and His character to cling to today and to use in your time of prayer.

FOCUS THE EYES OF YOUR HEART

Quietly recite today's focus verses to yourself. Hide them in your heart, meditate on them, and make them your prayer throughout the day.

Matthew 5:3-5: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
