Lord God,

Place Your hand upon your army of men. Please help us to heal from the pain of past hurts. We think by building a hard shell around our emotional man, that we are protected from attacks and injuries.

While the natural man may learn to endure the storms, the spirit man withers within these walls. Not showing emotional vulnerability or allowing anyone to get close is a sure path to destruction and regret.

Show us that the hard shell we construct doesn't protect us from injury; it actually helps seal the hurts inside. Lord, help us to break the bricks that prevent us from healing.
