Our Prophetic Ministry
Luke 1:76-79
“…you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God…to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
The call of the Church in the last days is to prepare the way for the return of Jesus. We are to preach the gospel to all nations (Mark 13:10), sharing the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins. We are to proclaim the tender mercy of our God. We still live in an age of grace where God’s forgiveness is available. This ministry of the Church, like that of John the Baptist, is to be prophetic, - a voice and a clear call. The invitation is to walk in a new path, God’s path of peace, - peace with God and peace with all men, through the blood of Jesus. Jesus is our peace.
Lord Jesus, I pray for your anointing this year, to live the calling you have given me. I anticipate your return and desire to share your good news and peaceful path with those I meet.
