Moving From Stuck to Unstuck by Jennifer MaggioSýnishorn

The Commitment
The unveiling that is about to take place in your life, as we dive deep into God’s Word and into the recesses of every part of your life, will get uncomfortable. Stay committed to the journey.
The great un-sticking, as we’ve referred to this journey, can also be called “the great exposing,” as much of the journey over this 30-day period will include a great deal of prayer with the Lord and analyzing choices in your life that may have led to some of your own bondage or your ungodly belief systems that never aligned with God’s word (even when you didn’t realize it!) This process is uncomfortable and one that not every Believer is interested in pursuing.
But for those who do, it is truly worth the reward. The Lord’s provision is so rich and bountiful in every way. Often, we get sidetracked in the day-to-day and only seek His provision of financial needs, or perhaps parenting challenges, or what the day may bring. He is certainly a provider in those ways. But the richness of His love and gifts goes far beyond our imagination.
As you take a deep dive into the areas of your life that have been repeatedly bound, often resulting in the same frustrations, anger, and even pain, I want to encourage you that those who wait on the Lord shall receive all they need. You may grow weary for a moment in this process, especially if there are layers of pain exposed, but He is ready, willing, and able to give you the tenacity to pursue your freedom all the way to the finish line. As we wait on the Lord for healing and unlocking, we must actively work with Him. He wants our involvement in the process. We learn. We grow. We develop testimonies to bless others. Complete peace, patience, healing, wholeness, and freedom are on the other side of the unstuck journey, so commit to the easy and the hard days. Commit on busy days, when work, kids, or other demands seem weighty. Spend time in the devotional daily, and most importantly, with Him and His Word.
It may seem like hard work, but know that you are an overcomer in Christ Jesus, and His deep desire for you is first your eternal salvation and then complete freedom on earth. The Bible refers to this freedom as the “abundant” life in John 10:10.
My deep prayer for you is that the abundant life not only would seem attainable for you but would come to fruition in your life in every way. Commit to one key principle each day that you can meditate on and pray about as you journey through this devotional. Action is key.
Points to Ponder:
- As you consider the difficulties in analyzing past pain, what concerns do you have about digging deeper?
- Do you believe that Jesus paid for both your salvation and your complete freedom? Why or why not?
- How might your answer to the above propel you forward or hinder you in your freedom progress?
