Day 5: Shine Bright and Move Forward

Scripture:
“Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Reflection:
Life can feel a little scary sometimes—starting something new, standing up for what’s right, or just being fully yourself. But here’s what’s true: you were made to shine. You carry God’s light inside of you, and the world needs what only you can bring.

Even when you’re nervous or unsure, God promises that He is with you. He’s not asking you to be perfect—He’s asking you to be brave, to show up, and to trust that He’s right beside you. You don’t have to wait until you feel “ready” to start moving forward. Take that step. Speak up. Try out. Show love.

Your light might look like kindness, creativity, leadership, encouragement, or simply showing up when others don’t. Whatever it is, don’t hide it. You were made to shine—and when you do, you give others permission to shine too.

Prayer:
Lord,
Thank You for walking with me into every new day. Fill my heart with boldness and remind me that I never go alone. Even when I feel unsure, help me to trust You and shine the light You placed inside me. Use me to encourage others and bring hope wherever I go. Amen.

Challenge:
Stand in front of a mirror and speak this out loud:
“I am brave. I am loved. I am chosen. I will shine my light boldly.”
Say this every morning this week.
Then, take one brave step today—big or small—that moves you forward in your faith, your dreams, or your confidence.
