Prayer Initiative: Closer to Jesus Sýnishorn

“Do whatever He tells you.” These words were addressed to servants who, by their status, were used to being told what to do. But Jesus was not their direct master, and they had a choice whether to listen to Jesus’s mother. They decided to follow His instructions and filled the jars with water. When Jesus touched the vessels, they became filled with wine.
Later in this chapter, Jesus is giving instructions again. He is angry. It is about more important matters now than wine at a wedding. Zeal for His Father’s house is consuming Him. But these people are different. They don’t want to obey: “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
Even when Jesus revealed the most significant sign – the resurrection of His body from the dead – the Jews didn’t believe. The disciples did, recalling what He said, but they didn’t. When Jesus is addressing you there is always a choice. Faith always precedes a miracle.
What are some signs Jesus showed you to convince you to believe? Thank God for His miracles in your life. What are you zealous for? Ask Jesus: “What do You have in Your Word for me today?” Listen and pray.
INTERCESSION : “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
PRAYER :
- Write down three“miracles” you need God to do for you. It can be your personal needs, the needs of your family members, healing, provision, ministry needs, or anything else. Commit to praying for them daily.
- Don’t forget to pray for the salvation of people from your first list.

About this Plan

The Gospel of John will be our focus for the next 21 days, one chapter at a time. We will carefully explore his words, discovering all we can about Jesus. We will dig deeper to understand the signs and miracles that could only be performed by the Son of God, the One Who came from above.
