The temple is complete. God’s Spirit filled the temple like a great cloud. All Israel worships. Yet, as we read the intricate details of the temple’s construction, we begin to see imagery and order that is reminiscent of Eden, the Tabernacle, and even the new Jerusalem of Revelation. The theme of God dwelling with His people is bigger than a building. Even Solomon understood this (verse 27).

Nothing can contain the Lord; Yet, God will never abandon His people. Ultimately, God comes to earth, not to live in a box but to live in our hearts; God’s kingdom on earth, His church as His temple. Immanuel — God with us. There is no one like God, a God who would choose a people and never walk away from them.
