1Q: Following Jesus for RealSýnishorn

It’s one thing to believe in Jesus and accept Him as your Savior. It’s another entirely to be a true follower of Jesus Christ as your Lord. The desire to follow Christ and become His disciple (student) follows salvation naturally, but the choice to follow is a moment by moment matter of will that forces us to lean on God’s power in order to overcome our own selfishness.
In some settings, it benefits us to follow Jesus and talk about Him. In others, it causes us discomfort or pain. True followers of Christ live in obvious obedience to God in every situation, standing up for the truth no matter what. In return, Jesus stands up for them.
Thank God for the desire and strength to follow Jesus in obedience to God’s will.
