Feeding the Hungry

ỤBỌCHỊ 2 NKE 8

There were two groups of people that followed Jesus. One was a huge crowd while the other was a small number of disciples. The crowds followed Jesus while there was something to receive or something spectacular to observe. But the same crowd would turn against Jesus the moment they were instigated by the authorities. That is why Jesus never entrusted Himself to the crowd, for He knew their heart and that their desire to follow Him was purely selfish. Are you a part of the crowd or are you a disciple? The crowds follow God when it is convenient and beneficial to do so. But once their needs have been fulfilled, they often scatter looking for other means of fulfillment. If you are just a part of the crowd, watching on the fringes, not willing to go deeper with Jesus, you will never be satisfied. You will always be controlled by the push and pull of the crowd, restless and searching for the next big thing.
