Janganlah melakukan perbuatan sia-sia seperti yang dilakukan orang yang hidup dalam kegelapan, yang tidak menghasilkan sesuatu pun yang baik. Sebaliknya, beritahukan orang betapa salahnya perbuatan itu. Sebab, hal ini sungguh memalukan bahkan hanya untuk membicarakan perbuatan yang mereka lakukan secara tersembunyi. Tetapi terang itu membuat jelas betapa salahnya hal-hal tersebut. Segala sesuatu akan menjadi jelas oleh terang itu. Itulah sebabnya dikatakan: “Bangunlah, hai kamu orang yang tidur! Bangkitlah dari kematian, dan Kristus akan menerangi kamu.”
