I am going to send you what my Father has promised, but for now, stay in the city until you have received power from heaven.”

Jesus isn’t here! He has risen! Remember how he told you while he was still with you in Galilee that he would rise?

Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They said to each other, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us as he explained to us what the Scriptures meant as he talked with us on the road?”

He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and his followers will preach in his name. They will tell others to turn away from their sins and be forgiven. People from every nation will hear about this, beginning in Jerusalem.

They found the stone rolled away from it. When they entered the tomb, they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.
