Evangelism: Sharing the Good News

### Evangelism isn't either/or, but both/and I want to share three different, but equally valid, ways of sharing the gospel. We could summarize them as 'come and see', 'go and tell' and 'hear my story'. We'll start with the latter which is the most self-explanatory. 'Hear my story' is another way of saying that we should share our testimonies of faith in Jesus. The man born blind might not have had faith in Jesus for long - but the fact that He could see was a powerful enough testimony for the jealous religious people to kick him out of the synagogue, to ostracize him and make him a pariah. 'Come and see' was the Samaritan woman's evangelistic technique. She might not have been confident to share herself, but she could lead people to Jesus. We might not be able to do so physically, but we can invite people to church/evangelistic events. Finally, 'go and tell' is what God calls us to do. If we don't go and tell the Gospel to people who wouldn't normally darken the door of the church, how else are they going to hear how to get eternal life? 'Friendship evangelism' is great, but not everyone has the privilege of a Christian friend, and people without Christian friends need to hear the good news too. How do you like to share good news with people? 'However we share the good news Lord, may we faithfully do so, for the furtherance of Your Kingdom, Amen.'
