Reverse the Curse: How Jesus Moves Us From Death to Life

# Day 5 - Tree to Tree Adam and Eve were cut off from access to the tree of life after their fall in Genesis, but in Revelation 22, there was the tree of life again—its leaves bringing healing to the nations. God’s plan has always been restoration. Even in the midst of a sin-stained world, God has always been moving toward us. Although the problem of Eden is much worse than we thought, the solution is much better than we could have ever imagined. Through recognizing the heartache of Eden, we can better realize the hope of the cross. Through this true tree of life, we can embrace the hope, love, and beauty of reconciliation we’ve been invited into. Life in between the two trees is either lived in union with sin and death or union with the redemptive work of Jesus. How we live in that union determines the story every day. When we are united with Jesus, our every day is the restoration process of removing the curse of sin and ultimate redemption of all creation. We have a role in reversing the curse—choosing to live in union with Jesus and his work. Questions * Are you living in unity with sin and death or with the work of Jesus? What step can you take today toward embracing His redemptive work in your life? * Why do you think God used a tree to represent life and death? What’s the symbolic connection between Adam and Eve’s sin from a tree and Jesus’ death on a tree?
