Prophets Help Us Discern Our Part in God's Plan

Each one of us has been born with a part in the eternal purposes of God. We can choose to walk in that purpose or reject it through disobedience and rebellion—or through ignorance.

Prophets minister revelation concerning our fellowship (part) of the mystery (purpose) of the Lord, and those who have a desire to know and fulfill the will of the Lord need to avail themselves of true prophetic ministry. The enemy attempts to keep us ignorant of our part in the purposes of God. He tries to divert us from the will of God. He wants to destroy us and interfere with the establishment of the kingdom of God in the earth.

Therefore to reject the ministry of prophets is to reject the revelation the Lord desires to give us regarding our eternal purpose. As we honor and draw from the anointing of the prophet, we will walk in greater revelation of the purposes of the Lord. In other words, the prophet has been given as a gift to the body of Christ to bless us and perfect us. We can never be perfected without a revelation of the purposes of God.
