That They May Be Saved
1 Corinthians 10:33, 11:1
“…I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ.”
The price of living on mission with Jesus is that we place the good of others above our own to win them for the kingdom. The standards for ambassadors of Christ are higher than others. We follow Christ and are often the only witness for Christ and his gospel that people will see. For our lives to be followed as a pattern of the ways of Christ, we too must do all things (eating, drinking, relaxing and entertaining, etc.) for the glory of God. There is no vacation from living for God’s glory. We don’t live for our own needs, rights and pleasures; we live for the glory of God so that others might be saved.
Father God, my you be glorified in my lifestyle choices that others might see your gospel at work in me and be drawn to you.
