Honor God With Your Relationships This little section is for everybody, but maybe especially for males. As others have discovered and described, men’s brains are like waffles--tidy, organized, and compartmentalized. Sometimes that’s good. Waffle thinkers can prioritize, consider possibilities and problems rationally and unemotionally, and concentrate ferociously on problem solving. Waffle thinking is terrible in other ways, as when someone’s feelings, relationships, or decisions in one box don’t necessarily flow into another. That’s how some people, and particularly some men, can live in two or three different “worlds” and keep them separate. Our lives are all connected. And Christian husbands are part of the body of Christ and organic heads of their wives. Everything all of us say and do sets off waves, either shock waves of pain or waves of blessing and pleasure, to the people we’re connected to.
